Off

Andromeda is switching itself off all of a sudden right in the middle of work. It’s not the gradual shut down but a sudden off, like a TV being shut off.

Last night was the 4th or 5th time in 1.5 years that it happened. My guess is it’s the overheating that’s to blame. Each time the anomaly happened, Andromeda had been working for long hours and had become very hot. I guess AMD machines having a problem with overheating isn’t an entirely unfounded allegation.

The year that was

I'm wearing a rather striking shirt, one that makes me feel like a clown fooling around in a graveyard. Roving eyes latch on to me and make me too conscious of myself. Checkered in red, grey, black and maroon, I've excused myself into donning it and looking silly for two reasons. It's Friday and…more importantly, the last working day of the year.
