A Heavenly Mess

I saw a group of Christian evangelists arguing with some Muslims (staunch followers, it would seem from their attire) on Sunday near Shepherd's Bush Station. I wish I could linger a little while and have some fun at their expense. I pity these folks. They are embroiled in their own mess. And they prefer it this way.

Tunes for now

I'm drowning the silence with some Bill Evans trio. Dad still speaks to me through music. Asha left for Dubai last night where she'll stay for a couple of days before flying to New Delhi. She almost didn't make it to Heathrow on time. The huge traffic jam caused by an accident only added to our anxiety. But that's hardly an excuse for being late. I hate to see someone being chronically behind schedule. It's probably one of the most difficult habits to beat. The exertion at the airport scrambling for everything left me panting. The return to home via 105 was a much more tranquil affair. The gridlock had opened and I returned home just in time to afford me 5 hrs of sleep before leaving for work. I miss Ari and his mom.

200th Birth Anniversary...Charles Dickens

I'm extremely lucky to be in a city that was home to the great writer for many years. Asha and I will be visiting the Charles Dickens Museum this month. Kindle owners are being treated to a 2-for-1 entry to the museum. I can hardly contain my excitement!

City of Bath, UK

It was a most exhilarating experience. Bath just took our breath away. Not only was the city strikingly beautiful, it also hosted 2 legendary figures from history whose homes we had the honor of visiting: Jane Austen and William Herschel . The image above is a panorama. London Nostalgia

It’s 7:29 pm in Montreal as I listen to a Schubert symphony on BBC. I miss London real bad. UK was picture-perfect, literally flawless. Montreal is a stark-contrast. Traffic rules are rampantly broken, I saw more beggars here in a week than I saw in UK in a year, great expanses of land are unkempt, some of the buildings are shockingly shabby and people generally lack the etiquettes I imagined all Westerners possessed. In spite of all these flaws, Montreal has a rather quaint old-world charm to it.
